Mileage Tracker

"I used to  to drive for work and expense my miles. I would submit my expense report at the end of every month - I would go back through my diary and phone to work out where i'd been and use AA Route planner to check the distance. The problem was, I was missing miles. At 45p a mile I was losing quite a lot of money and also a good few hours each month working it out".........Richard Wilson, RW Accountancy Solutions Ltd

Yes, even accountants can be rubbish at some things!!

All mileage claims should be supported by a detailed log and you would be expected to provide this if

asked to do so my HMRC. It is not acceptable to estimate a percentage split.

There are various solutions on the market, our favourite is MileIQ. It runs in the background on your

smartphone and trips are classified as personal or business by simply swiping left or right.

Purchase direct from MileIQ at a cost of £4.99 per month on a monthly subscription, or £44.99 annually*.
